1. What We Collect

• Name and email address — provided when you join the waitlist or subscribe
• Course preferences — the topic, source materials, brand details, and audience information you share while creating a course
• Payment information — processed entirely by Paddle (our Merchant of Record) and Stripe. We never see or store your credit card details.
• Operational data — course content, drafts, approvals, analytics, and activity within your platform while your subscription is active

2. How We Use It

• To generate, deploy, host, and operate your course
• To deliver onboarding by email and, if you add the AI Manager, ongoing operations via Telegram
• To send performance reports and service updates
• To improve our platform based on aggregated usage patterns

3. Third-Party Services

• Paddle — payment processing and subscription management (Merchant of Record for Lernel subscriptions)
• Stripe — payment processing for your students, paid directly to you
• Telegram — the AI Manager add-on's daily operations and communication
• Cloudflare — website hosting, edge computing, and security
• Brevo — email automation for your students
• OpenAI, Anthropic (Claude), and other AI providers — content and media generation. Your content is processed to generate your course but is not used to train their models.

4. Data Storage

• Your data is hosted on our servers while your subscription is active
• You may request a full export of your data at any time
• Data is retained for 30 days after subscription cancellation, then permanently deleted
• Backup copies are retained for operational recovery purposes only

5. Your Rights

• Export all your data at any time with one request
• Request deletion of your personal information
• Cancel your subscription at any time
• Opt out of non-essential communications

6. Cookies & Advertising

We use cookies and similar technologies for basic site functionality, to measure how our site and ads perform, and to understand where our visitors come from. Specifically we may use:

• Essential cookies — needed for the site and your account to work (for example, keeping you signed in).
• Advertising & measurement — the Microsoft Advertising UET tag and, where used, Google Ads conversion tracking and Google Analytics. These help us measure the results of our advertising, understand which campaigns bring visitors, and improve our marketing. They may set cookies and share limited event data (such as page views and sign-ups) with Microsoft or Google.

You can control or block cookies through your browser settings, and you can opt out of interest-based advertising via optout.aboutads.info and youronlinechoices.com. Blocking non-essential cookies will not stop you from using Lernel. Where the law requires consent for advertising or analytics cookies, we ask for it before those cookies are set.

7. Children

Our service is not intended for anyone under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors.

8. Changes

We may update this privacy policy with notice. The latest version will always be available at lernel.ai/privacy.
